Minute Man Press

Concept redesign of a basic Malbec $5 wine in South America rebranded as a High-End Luxury wine.

Problem: Malbec wine is an Argentina vineyard; grapes have grown in popularity after winning many awards. The increase in demands has driven pricing. The Brand would like to take advantage of the market and compete with France with a premium wine product.

Challenge: Updating the branding for a bottle while keeping the historical ties to the company and country.

During two weeks of research, I read that the country of Argentina was home to a species of Jaguar that is endangered. The government is now doing its part to revive those numbers. The idea here was to pay tribute to the Jaguar. Its dark black coat symbolizes beauty, elegance, and strength, Much like the Malbec wine. It was a precise and perfect match.

Patio island

Minute Man Press of Upper Marlboro MD
Flyer Design for direct mailing services and email marketing.

Flyer redesign

Problem: Patio Island, a furniture store in Upper Marlboro, MD. Just before an expo, Mrs. Bullock entered our store to print her homemade flyers from Microsoft Word. Mrs. Bullock’s products were outstanding; however, her design didn’t stand up to her own expectations. So we had an opportunity to make some minor changes.

Solution:   The Company previously worked on its brand identity, formulating its unique Color system. Using the company guidelines, I sought licensed art from Adobe’s stocky imagery and created a simple design aesthetic.

The customer enjoyed this so much that Minute Man press is now Patio Island’s central hub for design solutions.

Giant Foods

Giant Foods Maryland Regional Office

Various Projects
After reading Giant corporation guidelines for Design, I created an overhead Sign design for their in-store display.

Smith Company Flyer
Giant Store has a new product from a local bakery. However, the baker didn’t have a designer for their seasonal holiday cake. Designed a 7×11  Sign and an 11×17 poster.

T-Shirts
With the company going through a rebrand,  it was suggested that the workers have newly designed shirts that allowed men and women to choose their style of Giant branded clothing.

I designed breathable t-shirts for workers that allowed a hint of style between men’s and women’s clothing.

Giant Foods and NFL’s Washington Capitals Poster
Giant and the Caps are promoting a contest for team support heading into the playoffs.
In search of images, I stumbled on a picture in the Washington Capitals photo gallery of a supercharge kid cheering on his team in the heat of a game. A fun poster.

Barbershop Logo Design
Mr.Car wanted a mark that fit his style as a professional barber. While Still a traditional barber, he often uses classic techniques and supplies. The blade is the key signature to the classic barbershop experience.

Electrical Inspections
Running a business is already difficult enough and sometimes things slip your grasp; VM lost its original file for their company logo design. They were using a camera phone photo, of thier company logo. So Minute Man Press offered a re-illustration of logo to the project, up-selling the order.

Ice Cold lemonade Logo
Small business is a key; it’s even more interesting when an 11yr old kid is an entrepreneur. This project was a logo design derived from a child’s illustrations. I vectorized the logo and created stickers as a single label for his lemonade. You can now buy this lemonade in Forestville, MD 7-11.
